A resident to Riverside and a renter who is raising her young daughter here, Clarissa’s top priority is to make living in the Inland Empire more affordable for working families. Clarissa will work to expand affordable housing by improving the permit process, and tackle the homelessness crisis with effective, compassionate solutions that focus on shelter, mental health treatment, and drug abuse counseling. And she’ll stand up to price-gouging pharmaceutical companies to bring prescription drug prices down and reduce medical debt for seniors and families.

Clarissa is refusing to take a dime from Big Oil or Big Pharma. She’s committed to standing up to price increasing corporations and stopping the proliferation of warehouses to protect our environment and ensure our communities are livable. CREATE LOCAL, GOOD-PAYING JOBS

Clarissa recognizes that far too many residents are forced to commute in order to earn a paycheck. Now more than ever, we need the proper investments into the next generation of the workforce. Clarissa will advocate for funding to strengthen local job-training programs in the trades and career-technical opportunities.

Clarissa believes every resident deserves to feel safe in the community they live in. She will ensure public safety officials have the tools they need to protect families and reduce crime, while upholding the law and treating everyone equally.
